Our Story

Likwid Concepts started with a simple question:
Why does painting have to be so frustrating?

​

Founder John DePaola was tired of wasting time and money cleaning paint brushes between coats. That everyday frustration led to a game-changing idea: The Paint Brush Cover™ — a simple, airtight solution designed to keep brushes wet and ready between uses.

What started as one smart tool has grown into a full line of painting efficiency products used by professionals, DIYers, parents, teachers, and hobbyists across the country.

A Shark Tank Success

In 2014, The Paint Brush Cover™ hit national TV on ABC’s hit show “Shark Tank.”

John presented the product to the Sharks and showed how it solved a universal problem for anyone who paints.
Lori Greiner immediately saw the potential and partnered with us, helping:
 

• Scale production

• Expand retail distribution

• Bring The Paint Brush Cover™ to painters nationwide
   

We were later featured on “Beyond the Tank,” becoming one of only a small number of companies selected out of thousands who appeared on the show. Our products have since been showcased on:

Meet the Team

Likwid Concepts was founded by John DePaola, whose original idea for The Paint Brush Cover™ sparked the entire product line. John continues to lead the charge in product innovation and development.

As the company expanded, Scott Setaro joined the team to help scale operations, guiding:
 

• Wholesale and retail partnerships

• Big-box and independent store relationships

• Digital growth and e-commerce strategy
   

Together with our dedicated staff, John and Scott are focused on one thing:
